Matthew Gentry Durham

I am currently a Gibbs Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Yale University, where my mentor is Yair Minsky.  Previously, I was an RTG Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, under the supervision of Dick Canary.  I completed my doctoral work under the guidance of Daniel Groves at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  During the Fall 2016 semester, I was a postdoc at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, CA during its jumbo program on geometric group theory.

Beginning in the fall of 2018, I will be a tenure-track assistant professor at the University of California, Riverside.
